Unit 7 "Meeting Asciepius"

After completing the meditation exercise on tract 4 of the Dacher CD, I found it easier to get through. I have problems focusing on my meditation sometimes, but not so much with this exercise. Though I did find it distracting to have such long breaks during the exercise. I was pausing long enough that my mind started to wander. I would think staying focused would get easier as I get more practice. I do think that the pauses for contemplation should be shorter.

I truly believe that "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself.” To me it is hypocritical to teach someone to eat properly or to exercise daily if you are not doing these things. It is a respect issue, you can not ask a student to do something that you yourself won't do. If you practice what you preach it will become not only easier for your students to respect you but you will reap the benefits too!

  1. I found the exercise to be difficult because I am like you and my mind wondered when the breaks took place since they were so long.
I do however feel that even though someone may have not done something themselves that they can help someone and give them ideas of pointers on how to achieve what they are trying to do. This person may also find others that have been in that situation to help this person. Most of all they can be there so support the person and to listen when they may struggle.
